Installing WildBlue Security Center
Summary
Customers install the WildBlue Security Center on their PC prior to the actual installation of service.
Prerequisites
- The customer received the Welcome Package with the WildBlue Security Center CD and key code.
- The customer has access to the Internet and has downloaded WildBlue Security Center.
- Customers must uninstall any existing antivirus software using the Add/Remove tool from the Control Panel.
Content
- Close any open applications on the PC.
- Insert the WildBlue Security Center CD into the disc drive. The program launches automatically.
- If downloaded, double click the WildBlue Security Center icon and select Run.
- Read the Welcome to WildBlue Security Center Setup screen. Click Next when finished.
- Read the License Agreement and click Accept to continue.
Note: Selecting Decline cancels the installation.
- Enter the Subscription Key exactly as it shows on the Welcome Package. Click Next when complete.
Note: Subscription Keys for additional PCs are available through Customer Care.
- If a Subscription Key or Internet connection is unavailable at the time of installation , click the evaluate link to continue installing the software. A valid Key will be required within 30 days.

- When installation completes, click Restart to restart the PC. Restarting fully protects the PC.
Note: The PC restarts itself after two minutes.
- After restart, the Successful Validation screen appears. This ends the installation process, but the application still requires configuration.

- From the Successful Validation screen click the No, thank you radio button to complete the installation.
- Click the Start button on the Desktop.
- From the All Programs menu move the mouse to the WildBlue Security Center option.
- Click Run Start-Up Wizard.
- Confirm that Perform full computer check and Enable a weekly virus scan have a check mark next to them.
- Click Next to continue.
- Click Finish to accept the settings.
- WildBlue Security Center automatically runs the first system scan.
