How to Connect and Provision a Replacement Modem

This article first describes how to disconnect your original modem and reconnect a replacement modem. After connecting the replacement modem, the article describes how to activate (provision) the replacement modem to the WildBlue Network.

Connecting a Replacement Modem
- Set the replacement modem alongside the original modem.
- Move the Transmit cable from the TX port on the original modem to the TX port on the replacement modem.
- Move the Receive cable from the RX port on the original modem to the RX port on the replacement modem.
- Move the Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on the original modem to the Ethernet port on the replacement modem.
- Attach the new power supply to the replacement modem.
- Plug the new power supply into the wall
- Turn on the computer.
- Proceed to the following steps in order to activate (provision) the replacement WildBlue modem.

- Restart your computer and the Welcome page zero appears. (If the above screen does not appear, please launch your Internet browser.)
- Click the Click here to Continue button. The Login page appears.
- Type your User ID and Password. Note: Use the username and password used to access your WildBlue email account. AT&T Customers use their AT&T email address as the User Id, and their WBRES account number as the password.
- Click Submit.

Activating
- Click Replace.

- Restart the computer.
- Plug the modem into the power source.
- Contact Customer Care if assistance is required.
