Open Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 6 Tools Options

  1. Close all other applications, and launch Internet Explorer 6.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

Delete Temporary Files (Cache)

  1. Click Delete cookies. The Delete Cookies dialog opens.
  2. Click OK.
    Note: Deleting cookies in this wholesale manner removes cookies you may want to save. Some web sites remember your user name and password with a cookie. You may wish to try clearing the History and deleting files BEFORE deleting cookies.
  3. Click Delete files. The Delete Files dialog opens.
  4. Check Delete all offline content.
  5. Click OK.
    Note: This may take a few minutes if there is a large cache of files.

Clear History

Internet Explorer 6 Clear History

  1. Click Clear History. The Delete History dialog appears.
  2. Click OK.
    Note: This resets all links on websites to their default coloring, etc. This wipes away the evidence of previous visits to the site.
  3. Click OK to exit the Internet Option dialog.
