How is Webmail different from an email client like Outlook Express?
The primary difference is that the messages are stored on the Webmail server until deleted, or until downloaded to the local computer with another email client, like Outlook Express. Of course, customers can use both Webmail and an email client - use an email client when at home, and Webmail when away.
Using Webmail also means that accounts require monitoring to stay within the allotted space. Gmail provides ample space, however an email client stores email on the local computer where there is usually more space available.
