How do I clear Windows Internet Explorer 7 browsing history?

Close all other applications, and launch Internet Explorer 7.

From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

Click Delete. The Delete Browsing History dialog opens.

Click Delete files. The Delete Files dialog opens.

Click OK.
Note: This may take a few minutes if there is a large cache of files.

Click Delete cookies. The Delete Cookies dialog opens.

Click OK.
Note: Deleting cookies in this wholesale manner removes cookies you may want to save. Some web sites remember your user name and password with a cookie. You may wish to try clearing the History and deleting files BEFORE deleting cookies.

Click Delete history. The Delete History dialog opens.

Click OK.
Note: This resets all links on websites to their default coloring, etc. This wipes away the evidence of previous visits to the site.

Click Close and OK to exit Internet Options.
