  1. Right-click the Security Center icon (F-Secure Anti-Virus) in the Windows system tray. The context menu appears.

  2. Select Virus and spyware scanning
  3. Another alternative to scanning is to use a "shortcut"
    • Double Click on the Anti-Virus icon
    • The main interface opens
    • Select the Scan icon and choose your option  Alternate Scan
  4. Click Perform full computer check. The scan begins. Note: You may select another choice to perform a specific type of scan.
  5. The Scan Wizard dialog displays the status of the scan. Scan

Cleaning Infected Files

Select one of the following options if infected files are found during the scan:

  •   Automatic cleaning to disinfect viruses and delete spyware/malware automatically

  •   I want to decide item by item to continue to the Virus Cleaning page.
    • Choose to Disinfect a file with a virus - the antivirus program attempts to remove the virus from the file while leaving the file intact and available for use.
    • Choose to Delete a file with a virus - the antivirus program destroys the virus along with the infected file.

Report

 Show Report

After scanning, click Show Report. The browser opens to view a report page.
