Summary

Use this article to download and run the Outlook Express Conversion tool to convert Outlook Express server settings to the new Gmail settings.

Rules

Prerequisites

  1. Outlook Express must be loaded to the PC and previously been configured to receive emails from wildblue.net. 
  2. Enable POP settings within Gmail.

Content

Launch Application

  1. Double click the PC icon to launch the application.
  2. If no icon on the desktop, download the application.

Run Application

Converttoolsetup
  1. From the initial setup screen, click Next to begin the conversion.
    2. Convertacctfound
  2. The application populates a message box saying which wildblue.net accounts were found and converted. Click OK.
    3. Converttoolnoacct
  3. If no wildblue.net accounts were found, click OK and Finish. Then configure Outlook Express for Gmail.
    4. Convertpop Warn
  4. A reminder to enable POP settings in Gmail appears.

    5. Note: POP settings can be enabled after this application is complete. Outlook Express will not receive emails from Gmail until POP is enabled.
