Why are there emails in my inbox that I previously deleted?

As WildBlue transitioned customer's email accounts to Google, customers received their emails by dual-delivery. WildBlue sent your emails to both the old and new server so that no important emails would be lost. Now that you are signed into the Google application you are seeing new emails that you may have already read and handled. Simply delete these messages. You will not see duplicate emails again.
