Where Do I Go to Install the Pulse?

Will Pulse Run On MAC?

No, WildBlue does not current support the Pulse tool on the MAC operating system.

Will Installing Pulse Impact my Usage Thresholds?

Although the installation will contribute to your overall Usage Thresholds, it does not have a significant impact.

Why Would I Install Pulse?

To assist both you and WildBlue with running diagnostics on your PC to obtain slow speed related information which consist of the WildBlue Network and your PC.

When Would I Install Pulse?

When you are attempting to diagnose a slow speed issue.

How Long Does it Take to Install Pulse?

It depends on your PC; however, it typically takes 5 minutes to install the pulse tool.  If you need to install the .NET application, it will add an additional 20 minutes to your installation time.

How big is the Pulse File that I am Installing?

2.9 MB.

Do I Have to Install Pulse?

No; however, when you need to contact WildBlue about a speed related issue, it will extend the time required for troubleshooting.

Will Pulse Improve My PC Performance?

No.  The application itself will not.

Does Pulse Only Work with WildBlue's Service?

No, but using this application on other services will cause the tool to provide inaccurate data.

Will Pulse Damage My Computer?

No.  The tool will not cause any damage to your PC.

Is Pulse the Only WildBlue Application I Need?

No.  Prior to running the diagnostic, you must install the WildBlue Optimizer to insure accurate results.

Why Do I Need .NET 2.0 for Pulse?

The .NET Framework version 2.0 improves scalability and performance of applications with improved caching, application deployment and updating with ClickOnce, support of the broadest array of browsers and devices with ASP .NET 2.0 controls and services.

How is Pulse Different from the Optimizer?

The Optimizer improves your page load performance and pulse only diagnosis it.

Do I Need to Install the Pulse Application each time I want to use it?

No, Pulse only needs to be installed once.
