How Do I Get Past the Error Messages I Receive When Installing the Pulse Tool?

After the .NET Framework version 2.0 installed successfully and you begin installing pulse, you may receive a few error messages. Although, the current screen shots are for two specific error messages, the same steps are used to get past any additional error messages.

 

Cannot Start Error 

Xml Error When Downloading Pulse

  1. Click the OK button or close the open browser window.
  2. Open an Internet Explorer browser.
    Note: Most errors are received when downloading Pulse through Mozilla Firefox. Suggest using Internet Explorer when downloading Pulse. IE does not have to be set as the default browser at this time.
  3. Type the following in the browser:
    http://download.wildblue.com/pulse/WildBlue.QualityAssuranceTool.application
    Note: This is not a hyperlink, the URL must be typed or pasted into a WildBlue supported IE browser.
  4. Press the Enter key.
    Note: The URL will not work if you have not installed the .NET v2.0 framework.
  5. Click the Install button.
    Note: If an additional error message is received, try setting IE as the default browser.
  6. To set IE as the default browser:
    • Select the Tools dropdown in the browser window.
    • Select Internet Options.
    • Select the Programs Tab.
    • In the Default Web Browser section, select the Make Default box.
    • Select Apply then OK.
    • Close the browser and reopen Internet Explorer.
