Windows 7 is available in the marketplace as of today, October 22, 2009. WildBlue engineers are completing their testing, and we are preparing KB articles around Windows 7 this week. We will make this content live just as soon as we have the final approval for this operating system. We'll have articles on:

  • DHCP
  • Renewing an IP address
  • Configuring a dial-up connection
  • Enabling an ethernet adapter

The lists of supported operating systems will also be updated.

Here's a link to Microsoft's Windows 7 Home page.  There are comparisons between XP, Vista, and Windows 7, as well as some video tours to get an idea on what this new operating system looks like.

Technical agents will want to check the new KB articles (coming soon) about configuring DHCP and Ethernet cards. Windows 7 now offers a short cut, near the system tray, that opens Network and Sharing Center in one step. See the screen shots below.
