WildBlue has been working with the makers of the new Firefox 3.5 web browser to enhance web performance and page load speeds over the WildBlue satellite network. If you are not familiar with Firefox, it's a popular web browser that many of our customers use as an alternative to Internet Explorer.

Our test results have been so successful that WildBlue recommends that you switch to Firefox immediately. It's easy, it's free, and it should only take a few minutes to download and install. Did we mention it's free?

We know that many people may be a little scared of installing a new program downloaded over the Internet, especially to replace a program you're comfortable with like Internet Explorer. We don't take this lightly. In the past, we avoided making any recommendation concerning the browser you choose to use. However, the performance results are so dramatic that we highly recommend you give Firefox a try. You may be startled by how much faster it is.

Step two to faster web browsing: Get the new, improved WildBlue Optimizer

We recently released a new and vastly improved version of our Optimizer that is available now, just in time for holiday season. The Optimizer is a small program that makes a few important adjustments to your web browser settings to be most compatible with WildBlue's satellite network. The end result is your web browsing will be quite a bit faster with an optimized connection -- especially when you're using Firefox.

Two quick notes:

1. We recommend that all customers install the Optimizer! The WildBlue Optimizer does not adversely affect your computer if you use it on other networks, such as a laptop computer that you use at both work and home.
    
2. Our newest version of the Optimizer is specially designed to work with PCs. We still offer our existing Optimizer for Mac users, so if you need this, go here to get it. It offers significant improvements for Mac users!
