Does the WildBlue Optimizer improve internet browsing on networks other than ViaSat?

Yes, Internet browsing will be improved on all types of networks. However, some client and network combinations may respond poorly to our proxy configuration set in the web browser, so we recommend using the "Proxy Tool" for Internet Explorer (under Start>Programs>WildBlue) to disable the proxy settings in Internet Explorer when using an Optimizer-configured client on a non ViaSat network. Also, Firefox proxy settings can be adjusted manually, if necessary.

NOTE: If you have Exede service (black modem), do NOT  install the Optimizer as it may negatively impact your browsing speeds.
